Is gas on Arbitrum paid in ETH or in ARB?
In ETH. ARB is the governance token of the Arbitrum DAO and cannot pay for transactions. A wallet holding ARB but no ETH is still stuck until it receives native ETH on Arbitrum One.
I bridged USDC to Arbitrum but have no ETH. How do I move it?
Send a gas top-up to that same address on Arbitrum One. Once the ETH lands, the wallet can approve and transfer the USDC normally. You do not need to bridge again.
How is this different from bridging ETH from Ethereum mainnet?
